The Outreach Event Representative Role:

This is a rewarding part-time opportunity to educate homeowners about reducing their carbon footprint and lowering their utility bills. Use your communication skills and passion for the environment to help homeowners move to action!

This is a part-time position, and there is great opportunity for growth and advancement from this position once you've proven your success. Next Step Living provides training and ongoing coaching to help you succeed and grow in the role, and successful team members can expect to earn $15-$20 per hour.  

What You'll Do:

As an Outreach Event Representative, you'll act as the first point of contact between prospective customers and Next Step Living by engaging people in conversations at a variety of events. We regularly attend farmer's markets, town fairs, home shows, festivals and many other community events. We also station at corporate and retail locations across the state. You'll be working at events near where you live - we attend events throughout all of Eastern and Central Massachusetts - so you'll be making a direct impact on your community.

Qualifications: Must-Have

  • Interest in or prior experience with community organizing and activism
  • Flexible weekday and weekend availability - must be able to work a minimum of three days per week, including at least one weekend day
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle to transport event materials to various locations

Qualifications: Nice-to-Have

  • Ability to speak, read, and write languages other than English is beneficial
