The Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact with the client during the implementation of a system, ensuring both timely and quality work. While managing client relations, the Project Manager will track, communicate and lead job progress to include directing efforts across functional groups within the company.

Essential Functions:

  • Conduct post sale meeting/ scope review in order to initiate work
  • Conduct site survey with client and A VS technical staff
  • Prepare project schedule and track progress/changes during the life of the project.
  • Schedule, managing and coordinating resources to include: Labor, Materials, Tools/Equipment and Time
  • Work with client regarding changes to project scope, assessment of possible constraints and all other items that arise during the implementation
  • Manage day to day operations of assigned projects and communicate in advance:
  • Additional labor requirements
  • Material ordering and special equipment requirements
  • Track and manage project costs and schedule against budgets
  • Prepare weekly report of project status and any known schedule, scope, or budget concerns
  • Prepare monthly estimate to complete report of active projects.
  • Chart alternative solutions with a "worst case scenario" approach
  • Possess strong organizational skills to complement a "leadership" mentality
  • Possess proactive approach managing: Scope, Budget, Schedules and Changes
  • Manage sub-contractors and vendors
  • Conduct periodic and end of project labor and financial analysis of projects vs. budget.
  • Prior experience with: Technical installation of audiovisual systems, Rack fabrication, Site preparation and Understanding of a design/build integrator
  • Perform other duties as required

Education & Experience:

  • Four-year technical degree, preferably in the Electronics field
    • 5-10 years of broad technical experience
    • 5- 10 years of managing technical personnel and complex activities
  • CAPM certification is recommended and PMP or equivalent is preferred
  • Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office software and MS Project
  • Experience with Deltek accounting software a plus

Additional Requirements:

  • Candidates must have at least an Active Secret security clearance
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliverables
  • Available to work flexible hours and travel when needed
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check & drug test
